Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble hydraulic parts, sub‐assemblies, or full assemblies per blueprint, work instructions, or manufacturing orders.

• Use hand tools and common shop tools to fit, fasten, and adjust components.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, or schematics as needed.

• Perform quality checks: visually inspect and measure assembled parts to ensure they meet specifications.

• Record data on production sheets or other documentation (e.g., parts used, inspection results).

• Operate within safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workstation.

• Report any defects, malfunctions, or deviations to team leads or quality personnel.

• Perform basic preventive maintenance on tools and equipment (e.g., cleaning, calibration).

• Assist in continuous improvement (CI) efforts or lean manufacturing initiatives, as required.

• Package or prepare finished assemblies for shipment when necessary.

• Support other manufacturing tasks or departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) preferred.

• Some manufacturing or assembly experience; experience with hydraulic components is a plus.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

• Ability to use hand tools safely and competently.

• Experience reading blueprints or assembly instructions is helpful.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

• Physical ability to lift and carry weight (e.g., components), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
