Job Title:

Canvasser – Roofing, Gutters, and Siding Lead Generator

Overview:
Beacon of Hope Restorations is seeking motivated and energetic Canvassers to join our growing team. Your mission will be to walk neighborhoods recently affected by hailstorms, engage homeowners in friendly conversations, and generate leads for roof, gutter, and siding inspections and replacements. No selling or estimating is required – just making introductions and setting appointments for our project specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Knock on doors in designated hail-affected neighborhoods to identify interested homeowners.
• Educate homeowners about potential hail damage and the importance of a professional inspection.
• Set appointments for free, no-obligation inspections with our project specialists.
• Accurately record homeowner contact information and appointment details.
• Represent Beacon of Hope Restorations professionally with a positive attitude and polished appearance.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners, overcoming objections with confidence and courtesy.
• Meet or exceed daily and weekly lead generation goals.
• Daily team meetings are available online (Google Meet) for training sessions as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while canvassing.

Qualifications:

• Outgoing, friendly, and comfortable speaking with new people.
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle rejection professionally and stay motivated.
• Comfortable walking for several hours and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Smartphone proficiency (for recording leads and using mapping apps).
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned canvassing areas.
• Prior canvassing, sales, or customer service experience a plus but not required (we provide training).

Preferred Skills (but not required):

• Bilingual abilities (especially Spanish) are a plus.
• General knowledge of roofing, siding, gutters, or storm restoration industries is helpful.
• Organizational skills.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor field work in residential neighborhoods.
• Must be comfortable walking 3–5 miles per shift.
• Flexible scheduling (part-time or full-time hours available).

Compensation (1099 Independent Contractor):

• Hourly base pay [$15/hour] plus performance bonuses for each qualified lead generated.
• Our Top canvassers earn [$1,000 - $1,500+] weekly.

Please note:
You are being engaged as an Independent Contractor (1099), not as an employee (W-2).

This means:

• You have the freedom to set your own working hours and methods, within the scope of the work agreed upon.
• You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and any necessary licenses or permits.
• You are not eligible for employee benefits, such as health insurance, paid time off, or unemployment insurance.
• You are paid $15 hr + bonuses based on performance (e.g., per qualified lead or completed appointment).
• Your hourly pay is tracked by our canvassing app.
• You are responsible for your own equipment (such as a smartphone for tracking leads) unless otherwise provided by you.

As an Independent Contractor:

• You are expected to conduct yourself professionally and ethically while representing Beacon of Hope Restorations.
• You do not have authority to make binding agreements on behalf of Beacon of Hope Restorations or represent yourself as an employee.

You will be asked to sign an Independent Contractor Agreement that outlines the terms of your engagement before starting work.
