EMPLOYER: Optum Services Inc. JOB TITLE: Director of Card Capabilities LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.) DUTIES: Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects. Duties include: Lead a high-performing team to revolutionize card capabilities for Solutran, Health Benefits Accounts, and Prepaid businesses; Drive innovation and strategic direction within our Card Operations Capabilities function; Responsible for leading multiple functions capabilities development, reporting and data insights, and strategic initiatives; Craft and execute a multi-year strategy for card operations capabilities, aligning with the evolving needs of diverse business lines; Establish and enhance key product capabilities within the card operations function; Identify and prioritize product improvements to meet customer needs and market demands; Foster a culture of innovation within the team, empowering them to identify and implement cutting-edge solutions for card operations; Lead cross-functional teams in executing strategic projects that drive operational excellence and deliver tangible business results; Identify and solve complex challenges related to product features, functionalities, and vendor partnerships; Leverage data analytics to optimize processes, mitigate risks, and ensure uninterrupted operations; Lead a multi-layered team with expertise in capabilities development, reporting and data insights, and strategic project execution; Empower the team by providing direction, coaching, and professional development opportunities; Establish clear performance metrics and foster accountability for achieving strategic objectives; and Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (product management, IT, customer service) to ensure alignment and integration of initiatives. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S. 15% Domestic Travel required. REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Product Management, or a related field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a technology-related occupation. Position requires seven (7) years of experience in the following: Card payments Infrastructure such as card issuing, acquiring, and processing systems; Card Product Development including designing and launching credit, debit, prepaid, and virtual card products within a healthcare environment; Cost Analysis and Pricing Strategy including interchange fees, cost structures, and pricing models; Payment Network Compliance with network rules and dispute resolution processes; Product Lifecycle Management with card products from ideation to sunset; Vendor and Partner Management; Analyzing business analysis performance requirements gathering and detailed functional specifications design; APIs and Fintech Integration; Core Banking and Card Systems platforms such as FIS and Fiserv; and Data Analytics and Reporting using tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI for performance tracking and insights. OR Nine (9) years of experience in the job offered or in a manger-related occupation.
