Job Description

Since 1994, SPORTIME has been proud to operate the finest tennis and sports facilities in New York State. SPORTIME has 15 facility locations, most recently adding the iconic Port Washington Tennis Academy, now SPORTIME Port Washington, the largest indoor racket sports facility on Long Island. SPORTIME currently offers 194 indoor and outdoor tennis courts and 70 pickleball courts, as well as rinks, turf, camps, gyms and more, at sites across Long Island, in NYC, in Westchester and in the NY Capital Region. SPORTIME clubs are state-of-the-art, yet affordable, and feature the best tennis, sports and fitness facilities and programs, including the John McEnroe Tennis Academy and SPORTIME Volleyball Club). SPORTIME clubs serve individuals of every age and athletic ability, 365 days a year.

· To provide a first class transportation experience for our members to and from our facility
· To act in a professional and courteous manner at all times
· Make sure that students are secured in their seat belts prior to the trip departure
· Follow safety rules as students are boarding and exiting buses including any applicable COVID guidelines
· Check the conditions of the vehicles tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, gas, and oil to ensure that everything is in working order
· Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate the vehicle in a safe manner
· Regulate, air, heating, lighting, and radio controls for passenger comfort
· Reporting of all accidents, delays, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate management personnel in a timely manner
· Maintenance of a clean van (Interior and Exterior)
· Turn in and initial receipts for all gas purchases
· Maintain a log for EZ Pass utilization.
· Immediately reporting of all driver infractions on or off the job.

WORK CONTEXT/ACTIVITIES:

· The position requires the employee to be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude
· The position requires the employee to lead by example, delegate, communicate, train, follow up and deliver feedback to respective team employees.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

· Valid current Driver’s license with clean driving record
· Minimum of 18 months driving experience
· Knowledge of driving vehicles in NYC
· Ability to operate vehicles with multiple passengers of all ages
· Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify problems, create solutions and apply solutions
· Ability to use independent judgement and decision making
· Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
· Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms and/or legs
· Ability to lift and carry up to 20lbs
· Developing constructive and cooperative work relationships with others and maintaining them over time
· Strong communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills

SCHEDULE  : Full-time

SALARY: $19.00 per hour

Health, dental and vision insurance -Full-Time employees are eligible to enroll in Sportime’s group health, dental and vision insurance plans on the first day of the month after they have worked 60 days. Premiums are deducted pre-tax from employees’ gross pay; Sportime contributes to the premiums of employees based upon gross pay thresholds.

401k with Employer Match -SPORTIME EMPLOYEES are eligible to enroll in our SPORTIME Retirement plan after they have completed 1 year of service consecutively, worked at least 1000 hours in a calendar or anniversary year and are over 21 years old.
