Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

Position Overview:

Join our team as the Global Product Information Management Manager and take the lead in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and optimization of product data across global systems and channels.

In this critical role, you will oversee advanced item creation, system configuration, and administration of PIM and content syndication platforms, such as SAP Hybris. Acting as a subject matter expert and data governance champion, you will drive continuous improvement, foster collaboration, and support business objectives through strategic leadership and technical expertise.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of PIM analysts and specialists.
    • Establish clear performance metrics and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • System Oversight & Governance:

    • Oversee the configuration, optimization, and administration of PIM systems (e.g., SAP Hybris) and content syndication platforms.
    • Enforce data governance standards, taxonomy, and attribute management processes to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Strategic Collaboration:

    • Partner with marketing, product line management, IT, and global stakeholders to support data collection, maintenance, and syndication efforts.
    • Serve as the escalation point for complex data modeling, integrations, and troubleshooting across systems and channels.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation:

    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for data workflows, onboarding processes, and system integrations.
    • Implement agile methodologies for requirement gathering, user stories, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements.
  • Quality Assurance & Reporting:

    • Monitor data accuracy, integrity, and compliance across global storefronts and digital channels.
    • Develop dashboards and reports to track team performance, data quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Training & Documentation:

    • Maintain and update training materials, templates, and process documentation related to PIM systems and data governance standards.
    • Ensure team members stay informed on evolving standards, system capabilities, and best practices.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in PIM or related roles, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Hybris or similar PIM systems; familiarity with WCMS platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with expertise in data modeling, taxonomy, and attribute management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/InDesign.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, and query languages is a plus.

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira).
  • Knowledge of online search strategies, SEO, and digital governance best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, global environment.

The range for this position is $122,977.00 - $169,094.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
