We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support daily HR operations with a strong emphasis on employee benefits administration and recruiting. This role works under general supervision and provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure efficient and compliant HR processes.
Post and update job requisitions in Workforce Now (WFN) and associated job boards
Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates and temporary staffing agencies
Assist with onboarding of new hires and temporary employees
Conduct new hire orientations covering company policies and procedures
Create, maintain, and organize physical and electronic personnel files
Support benefits enrollment for new hires and during annual open enrollment
Present benefit offerings including medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D plans
Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in WFN and with carriers
Reconcile healthcare invoices and assist with timely payments
Process COBRA enrollments and terminations
Coordinate with brokerage partners regarding ACA compliance
Assist with company events such as holiday parties and employee programs
Assist in enforcing company policies and supporting workforce training initiatives
Process employee hires, terminations, and related documentation in WFN
Scan, upload, and accurately file HR documentation
Participate in staff, safety, and department meetings as required
Assist with processing court-ordered garnishments, child support, and spousal support
Perform general office and administrative duties as assigned
Bilingual in Spanish (read, write, and speak) required
Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience preferred
Basic understanding of HR operations and general labor laws
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks
Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills
Clear written and verbal communication abilities
Professional interpersonal skills and ability to work with employees at all levels
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Dependable, punctual, and receptive to feedback
