Inpatient Psychiatrist 

We are actively recruiting for an Inpatient Psychiatrist with a great hospital system in the state of Georgia. This is a free-standing behavioral health facility with 53 beds, recognized as one of the top intensive outpatient units, and only inpatient unit in the region. The supporting hospital is a 300+ bed full-service, acute care, and teaching hospital.

Psychiatrist role:

• Provide treatment services in any capacity including, but not limited to, assessment, medication management and disposition of psychiatric patients including deciding for hospitalization if needed.
• Provide routine, intensive, complex, and emergency intakes, and extended evaluations for a variety of emotional, psychological, and behavioral disorders.
• Provide continuing follow-up care for chronic patients with acute disorders and complications of these disorders, such as psychosis, organic brain syndrome, substance abuse/addictions, etc.
• Assist in growing the department with a focus on the geriatric population.
• Treatment focus for this position is on outpatient services, with maintaining current knowledge and experience of inpatient care.

Position Details:

• Full time position. Rounding once per week.
• 53 Bed inpatient hospital with an Average Daily Census of 20 of adult and geriatric cases.
• Patients come from the hospital ER, outpatient clinics, walk-ins, and surrounding ER’s.
• Reports directly to the CMO

License/Certifications/Experience:

• Board certification or board eligible in Behavioral Health.
• Active State medical license or ability to obtain.
• Must have Inpatient Psychiatry experience.
