Software Engineer Lead
Location: 3 days hybrid in any hub location (Pittsburgh PA; Strongsville, OH; Farmers Branch, TX; Birmingham, AL; Phoenix, AZ)
Contract: W2 only, 12-month contract with potential for extension or full-time conversion
Pay: $65-70/hr W2
Overview
This role involves leading and contributing to full stack development projects, including a scheduled upgrade of Angular software next year. The candidate will work closely with business teams during project cycles and support ongoing software development in a banking/financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in full stack development activities.
- Upgrade Angular software scheduled for the upcoming year.
- Work directly with business areas throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain REST services and Microservices.
- Collaborate with a team comprising two developers and additional team members.
- Support and maintain technologies including Java, Oracle, Springboot, Angular, and Linux.
Required Skills
- Java (front & back end), 4+ years of experience.
- Oracle database expertise.
- Springboot framework.
- JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Angular (front end).
- REST services & Microservices.
- SOAP integration skills.
- SQL proficiency.
- JUnit/Mockito testing frameworks.
- Linux navigation skills.
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Preferred Skills
- Openshift, Docker, Tomcat, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, GIT.
