Seeking for a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) who provides creative arts therapy services to individuals receiving substance use disorder treatment. The LCAT utilizes evidence-based and best-practice approaches to support recovery, emotional expression, and overall well-being across inpatient and outpatient treatment settings, in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
Facilitate individual and group creative arts therapy sessions to support emotional expression, self-awareness, coping skills, and personal growth.
Maintain an assigned caseload and deliver therapeutic services aligned with individualized treatment plans.
Complete clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and payer requirements.
Conduct assessments, including risk and safety evaluations, and contribute to care planning and discharge planning.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team members to monitor client progress and coordinate services.
Develop and implement engaging creative arts therapy programs that address psychological, cognitive, social, and emotional needs.
Evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and modify approaches as needed to meet treatment goals.
Master's degree in Creative Arts Therapy or related field
Active New York State Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) credential
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant clinical experience
Strong therapeutic and assessment skills
Excellent documentation and organizational abilities
Client-centered and recovery-oriented approach
Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications
