Reporting to the Nurse Director, the Nurse Manager Medical Oncology will lead clinical and operational excellence for a high-performing medical oncology unit and ambulatory infusion center, ensuring safe chemotherapy and immunotherapy delivery, evidence-based practice, and exceptional patient experience. Daily responsibilities include supervising and mentoring RNs and support staff, managing schedules and staffing, conducting team huddles rounding, coordinating multidisciplinary care with physicians, pharmacists, social work, and nurse navigators, optimizing patient flow and bed/infusion chair throughput, standardizing protocols and order sets, monitoring quality and safety metrics, executing performance improvement plans, maintaining compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards, overseeing department inventory and budgets, improving documentation accuracy, leading patient education and symptom management initiatives, facilitating care transitions and discharge planning, and driving staff engagement, recruitment, and retention.
