Job Description
Process Engineer for Tucson, AZ to facilitate mechanical system improvements for greenhouse production site; propose & conduct continuous improvement initiatives for mechanical systems using lean methodologies; conduct process mapping with stakeholders to identify areas for efficiency & system improvement; investigate system & equipment performance issues; collaborate with teams to develop KPIs for performance improvement decision-making; coach site employees on use of lean methodologies to improve production reliability; create & maintain engineering documents and standard operating procedures for mechanical systems. Requires Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or closely-related field & 2 yrs experience creating standard operating procedures & process descriptions for mechanical systems used to support production operations, including industrial, mechanical and environmental operations; collecting & analyzing operating data to identify areas for mechanical system improvements; applying Lean methodologies, including DMAIC, Fishbone, 5 Whys, PDCA and/or 8D, to investigate, identify the root cause of & develop solutions for mechanical system performance issues; implementing Gemba, 5S, Kaizen and/or Visual Management methodologies in a production environment to improve reliability, quality, safety & capacity; working with cross-functional engineering teams to plan & implement continuous improvement projects; supporting multiple change-in projects simultaneously; and translating engineering & technical documentation to non-technical stakeholders.Salary Range: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $102,128.00 to $116,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
