  • Compensation is based on qualifications that align with requirements

 

At Cascades you can develop your full potential, sustainably, by applying your expertise as a Production Supervisor with our Eau Claire, Wisconsin manufacturing facility.

 

This position requires 12-hour shifts, 6:30pm - 6:30am on a rotation that will involve every other weekend.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve operational efficiency objectives by optimizing available resources, rigorously applying best practice and establishing an effective communication and leadership system. 
  • Drive occupational health and safety performance and compliance, carry out monthly OHS audits as well as accident investigations and analysis while monitoring OHS policies & practices for improvements
  • Establish optimal production sequences in partnership with scheduling resources and ensure product compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor operating parameters while developing collaborative action plans to close performance gaps and resolve challenges. 
  • Develop a mobilized and competent team and support production efforts while nurturing a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • Carry out workforce planning and ensure approval of hours worked.
  • Develop and coordinate training and coaching for performance plans in support of team objectives.
  • Engage employees through meaningful interactions, ongoing communications, and a team approach toward meeting production goals.
  • Address KPI target shortfalls and coordinate applicable action plans.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & STRENGTHS

  • Extensive experience in supervision and the manufacturing sector
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and tools (an asset)
  • Leadership and a collaborative spirit that inspire and engage teams to achieve excellence.
  • Ability to solve problems and prioritize daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong listening skills to quickly understand needs and issues.
  • Ability to act and react quickly while working on a number of files at the same time.
  • Leadership to cultivate a culture of OHS accountability.
  • Sound judgment and the courage to make the necessary decisions.
  • Agility needed to work with various technological tools.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Eligible candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship is not offered for this position.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or Business Administration.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be available to work a 2nd shift schedule.
  • 3+ years’ leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent computer skills to include ERP/MRP/SAP, MS365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PPT)
