What we do:

We're looking for a detail-driven and proactive Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Fargo. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position plays a key role in supporting both financial strategy and day-to-day operations with the highest level of excellence. Core responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing monthly and annual reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You'll manage everything from general ledger and reconciliations to supporting audits, budgets, and grant tracking, all while contributing to the organization's financial transparency and operational success.

You'll help shape accounting best practices, streamline processes, and bring forward innovative ideas for automation and efficiency. Collaborating closely with managers and leadership, you'll provide key financial information, analysis, and recommendations that drive informed decision-making. Your input will influence how the organization operates financially, ensuring smooth, accurate, and effective accounting processes across departments and programs.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within healthcare or nonprofit.
• Understanding of GAAP, fund accounting, grant compliance. and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, with an ability to multi-task.
• High integrity, with commitment to confidentiality, and capacity for mentoring.

Salary Range : $65,000+ DOE
