Description: The primary purpose of this position is to partner with the plant leadership to promote a proactive safety culture by identifying and eliminating hazards before an incident occurs. Assists the Safety Manager with the implementation and maintenance of policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Safety Manager with the review and revision of existing programs as well as implementation of new safety programs to ensure company compliance with regulatory standards.
Partner with operations and other functions in the plant to review current work practices and advise them with regard to changes as needed to improve risk.
Provide direction for the plant’s incident reporting and investigation processes. This includes the determination of root cause(s), assigning corrective actions, and tracking those actions to closure with the goal of preventing similar incidents in the future.
Develop and deliver plant safety training to all associates on a monthly basis. Review site training program and make revisions as needed to improve training effectiveness and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Job Requirements:
Must have supervisory expedience in a high volume, fast-paced facility
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in industrial manufacturing setting
OHSA 10 or OSHA 30 Certifications Preferred
Job Type: Direct Hire
Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
