Cashier with Stocking Duties

Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier with Stocking Duties. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service at the checkout counter while also assisting with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Cashier Duties:
• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ring up purchases accurately and efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) system.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision.
• Resolve customer complaints or issues in a courteous and timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Stocking Duties:
• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
• Unload merchandise from delivery trucks and transport it to the appropriate storage area.
• Stock shelves and displays with products according to company standards.
• Rotate stock to ensure older products are sold first.
• Perform regular inventory counts and assist with restocking orders as needed.
• Customer Service:
• Provide knowledgeable assistance to customers regarding product inquiries and location.
• Offer suggestions and upsell products to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a positive and helpful attitude at all times.
• General Store Support:
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the store.
• Follow all safety and security procedures to prevent accidents and theft.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Shift:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift
• Night shift

Weekly day range:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed
• Weekends only

Ability to Relocate:

• Olive Branch, MS: Relocate before starting work (Required)
