Job Description
We are looking for a Functional Tester (Manual Testing) with at least 5 years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of functional and regression testing, test case design, and the validation of web applications, APIs, and backend processes. This role involves working closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on functional and business requirements.
Perform front-end, back-end, and API testing to validate integrations and system behavior.
Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Develop and maintain test plans, test case repositories, and regression testing matrices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product, operations) to ensure complete test coverage.
Execute smoke, sanity, functional, regression, and user acceptance tests.
Participate in test estimation and planning activities within agile or hybrid methodologies.
Provide clear and detailed test results, highlighting risks and quality indicators for each release.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, templates, and documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in manual functional testing.
Proven experience testing web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
Strong skills in test case design, test data management, and defect tracking.
Experience with SQL for data validation and backend testing.
Familiarity with REST API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
