Valve Technician – Port Allen

EVALUATION HIRE

$18-$30 / hr.

Day Shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm with overtime and weekends

Express Employment Professionals, a leading full-service staffing agency, is seeking a Valve Technician for a reputable client in Port Allen, Louisiana. This company specializes in rebuilding and distributing industrial relief valves for clients across Louisiana.

As a Valve Technician, you will play a critical role in installing, maintaining, inspecting, testing, and repairing valves that regulate the flow of oil, gas, and other fluids in industrial and commercial systems. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Disassemble, rebuild, and restore industrial relief valves to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform sandblasting and cleaning of valve components.
• Use common hand tools and precision instruments for valve repair and calibration.
• Inspect valves for wear, corrosion, and functionality; document findings.
• Assist with inventory control and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools.
• Experience with sandblasting and basic mechanical repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams (preferred).
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, industrial environment.
• Must be 21 years or older .
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• TWIC and OSHA certifications will be required in the future (company will assist).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in valve repair, industrial maintenance, or similar mechanical roles.
• Knowledge of pressure relief valves and related components.
