Salary Range: $84.62 - $126.93 plus applicable per diem differential
Required: Submission of 4 weekday shift availabilities per month, and 1 weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) coverage per month.
Preferred: On-call availability upon request
Position Summary:
The Physician Assistant (PA) for Cardiothoracic Surgery assists cardiac surgeons and the supervising physician in the management of patients and performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of the surgeon. The PA works closely with the cardiovascular surgeons in providing quality, efficient and cost-effective care during the patient's hospitalization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related Technical, Scientific or Engineering discipline required. Current ACLS and BLS certification. Current Physician Assistant cert in the state of CA. Demonstrated expertise in clinical practice with recent 1 year experience related to the responsibilities specified. Ability to work productively in a busy and complex environment. Effective written and oral communication skills in English. Ability to stand 6-8 hours. Strong knowledge of post of management of cardiac surgery patients as well as new consults. Ability to work well with others as well as independently as needed.
